Specialty Food News introduces new look and enhanced search capabilities

New York, NY. Beginning with today’s edition, 42,000 subscribers will receive a new-and-improved edition of Specialty Food News, the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade’s (http://www.specialtyfood.com/) daily email newsletter. New features include a cleaner layout, the ability to launch online searches directly from the newsletter, and active links to a variety of industry resources.

Produced in cooperation with the Food Institute (http://www.foodinstitute.com/), Specialty Food News is the only daily news source geared directly to the specialty food trade. Now, each day’s newsletter will provide retailers, distributors, foodservice operators and other industry professionals with direct access to the NASFT’s industry-hub website, http://www.specialtyfood.com/, and its Product Finder search engine. From the newsletter, users may search for information based on key words, product names or categories, news, Specialty Food Magazine content and more.

“These improvements represent a critical link in bringing together the full range of NASFT media,” says Chris Crocker, NASFT’s vice president, media development. “Specialty Food News now combines breaking news with a daily invitation to draw upon the industry’s most powerful online resource. This is a huge step toward integrating our print, online, and face-to-face presence in the trade.”

Established in 1952, the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. (NASFT®) is the only U.S. trade association representing all segments of the specialty food industry. Today, there are 2,390 members that produce nearly 100,000 specialty food products. The NASFT produces three annual Fancy Food Shows (http://www.fancyfoodshows.com/), the industry’s premiere international trade shows. The NASFT also produces Specialty Food Magazine, which is published ten times a year, reaches 29,100 trade subscribers, and covers trends, retailers, popular food categories, products and business topics of interest to the food industry. For more information, visit the NASFT website at http://www.specialtyfood.com/.
